Apolipoprotein M (ApoM) may have a role in the susceptibility of type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). Polymorphisms in the promoter region of the ApoM gene were found to be significantly associated with diabetes. The study prospectively evaluated 273 patients (80.61 ± 7.00 years old, 47% females) who underwent TAVI with CoreValve/Evolut-R (Medtronic Inc.).
